Talking My first cover shot!!

G'day guys,

I don't mean to seem like I'm bragging too much but I just managed to get my first magazine cover photo!

I'm pretty chuffed about that.

Cheers,
Motty.

Talking

Many thanks to everyone for your very kind comments. I'm glad you like the pic too.

For those who might be interested in such things; The pilot of the Pitts was Paul Bennet who, only a couple of weeks after we did this shoot, has since become the Australian National, Unlimited Aerobatic Champion, in this, his own Pitts (regrettably the aircraft was later damaged, without injury, in a landing incident while being flown by someone else).

We flew out of a local airport at Rutherford near Maitland. About 1/2 an hour from my place. I was in the back of this Yak 52

with former Australian Aerobatic Champion, Phil Unicombe as my pilot. The rear canopy can be opened in flight which makes for nice, clear photos.

I was using my Canon 40D with Canon 17-85 IS lens. 250 ISO & 1/250 at f14.

If you'd like to see some more shots from this shoot, I've put them on my web site at;http://motty.hobbyvista.com/Air-to-Air/A2A-Index.html

http://motty.hobbyvista.com/Air-to-A...R09/index.html

My deepest thanks to all concerned for the opportunity.

Thanks again for your comments.

Cheers,
Motty.
