Default Detail&Scale electronic books?

Hi,

Now that D&S and Furball are working together on the F9F project, I thought I might as well ask it here.

I'm interested in these books about the F3H and the F9F, I see that they are available in "Apple iBook Format" and in "Amazon Kindle Format".
Is it possible to buy these books and read them on my pc or laptop?
If it is possible, which of the two formats is best suited for a pc or laptop?

Cheers, Stefan.

Yes, you can read on a PC or laptop as long as you have Kindle software. Check on Amazon for it.

I'm not sure if there is a PC/laptop version of iBooks, but checking on the Apple site should be able to tell you.

I can't say which format is better, as I use iBooks on the iPad; I've not seen the Kindle version so I can't say if there is any difference or if one is better.

I had the opportunity to chat with Mr Kinzey at Nats. Great guy and very informative. According to him, the iBook format is the preferred/ideal format. However, I *believe* the only format available for PC use is the Kindle. Don't quote me on that, as we talked for quite a while about a variety of subjects.

All you have to have is an amazon account, and then install this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.htm...l_9ns220msf3_b

Thanks, guys.

I got that sorted out now.

They can really put a lot in this kind of book!
I quickly browsed through the Cougar book and saw Joe's F9F-6.

Cheers, Stefan.

A lot of people have said they prefer the traditional style of book, until they try the e-book version. Essentially, you get nearly 50% more content at less cost. Plus if revisions or additions need to made the author can update the book at any time. Its waaay cool.

I have both of the ebooks and the only thing I don't like is that you can't print any of the pages. I would like to be able to print out the scale drawings so I could use them on builds.

You could do a screen capture and email the pic to yourself then print it out.
