Holy Crap Scott! You outdid yourself on this one. Great info there. Thank's for putting it all together.

Any chance we could get some nice close-ups of the GPS dome?

And hey, while I'm at it- does anyone make this particular pylon as aftermarket?

The DG/DJ doesn't have the dispenser pylon, if you meant that.

The same goes for the JFS inlet & Exhaust doors, Engine bay fire access doors, and most other panel/door outlines between both kits.

That looks like something a decal company ought to put in their stencil sets.

Great shot! Thanks!

And Shaw must have discontinued the PIDS pylon, as it's no longer listed in his catalog on his website.

Default LEF Corrections

Well done Scott!! Just a couple of additions. The earlier model F-16s (Block 1thru 32) have only two "panel fingers" for the #1 rotary actuators (similar to the #2 spot) on the Leading Edge Flaps (LEF). The later on models (Block 40 thru 60) use the three "finger" panels on the #1 rotary actuators (similar to the #3 and #4 spots). The first few photos are from a Block 30 showing the two finger style. The latter photos show a Block 40 panel held up next to the Block 30.

Also Block 40 and up have small bumps (one on top and two on bottom) on the wing root panels.

Mike...what are those little blue antennas? They look very similar to the ROVER antenna that was installed on some F-14's late in their service life.

Sorry for jumping in, looks like they are being used here as telemetry (TM) antennas. They are an off-the-shelf item (the mfr spec sheet is on the web) and have been used on the QF-4N/S. And on the F-14Ds as the ROVER antenna on the very last cruise.

HTH,
Craig

As Craig mentioned, they antennas for telemetry, also data, but all except the upper TACAN, are SI (Special Instrumentation) antennas. Specifically the green (not blue) S Band antennas are for data. The white radial antennas are C/CA band antennas, more for telemetry.
