Default Hase F-15C

Hey guys, this is my F-15C im working on. Im still a newbie at actually building stuff, in fact i think this is the furthest ive gotten on a model, anyways I know its prob way off on the realistic scale (especially the avionics bay, a little experiment that didnt turn out so well, oh well live and learn) anyways here it is so far.

First all the stuff

The BB pit almost done

and here getting close to complete

thanks for looking!

Mike

Looking very nice. What green did you use in the electronics bay?

i mixed some citadel acrylics green and burnished gold, shouldve added more blue cuz now its all fubar'd but ya, kind of a hard color to get, the color that instruction sheet calls for from gunze is a metallic blue which is also way off to my eyes

The whole thing doesn't look that far from completion. Stay at it. It's gonna be a real "looker" when you get it finished! I can't wait for the final shots!

Looks good. Can't wait to see more of your progress.

I have the same model. How has the build been?

Joel, the build is not too bad the worst part is the the nose/cockpit join to the main fusalage, the thing just doesnt fit, all you can do i center it and putty the rest, my little recipe was glue it, locate the gaps, put some squadron green puty in them, sand till its level(doesnt matter what grit just clear the excess) then dab in some mr. surfacer 500, and sand through all the grits, made it as smooth as glass! looked awesome, until i had the whole kit sitting vertical for drying the gunze paints, as soon as i leaned it up to dry...guess what...CRASH! the whole front piece snapped back off instantly killing the invisible seam line i strived to prefect, oh well, regardless of what seamline u see on mine in the front at the end of the build just remember it can be filled. other than that everything else has matched up pretty well. i cant understand why ppl bitch to want a new f-15 kit, this one seems pretty damn good to me, but then again i dont know much about eagles.

I had the exact same thing happen to my F-15 D I was working on, damn near broke my heart!

Looks pretty good the cockpit looks fantastic. Nice one!
See your gonna do a "Wolfhound" nice, looking forward to seeing her finished, I have a set of those Dutch Decals.

I was going to say the same as chris, the Bay 5 on 80' models and higher are white, but it does look pretty damn good for first timing it.

"2"!

The Wolfhounds are tres cool.

We're going to run an Eagle Group Build from April 1-Sept 30. You'd be quite welcome to join,Mike, if you feel like building another F-15.
