Question Thinking of buying the Fujifilm XF1--is a good choice?

Is the Fujifilm XF1 a good choice for a fairly clueless photography newbie? I currently own a Canon A510 (ancient, I know) and it's time to upgrade. This will be my only camera, and will mainly be used for taking pics of the family (kids, especially), but will double as my rig for shooting models when needed. It's gotten good reviews online, but before plunking down $300, I want to make sure it's a good match for what I need.

Hi:

Fuji puts out a great product. I have an S-5100 digital and it will do everything but cook for ya. If you talk to it nice it may do that too. Mine does not do interchangeable lenses though. I have taken everything from closeup stuff for modeling to panoramic shots in the fall of foliage colors and have never had a complaint. Just my two cents worth...
