Default VF-111 and VF-92 update

Gents,

The Academy F-4B kit is winging its way to Jack Morris as we speak for sizing!

Cartograph is being fairly quick with their printing times lately (ask Geoff!), so I'd hazard a guess that we might be able to have these sheets on sale sooner rather than later. VF-111 is coming along swimmingly, but I have a request for everyone on VF-92. We're having trouble making out the name on the front canopy rail on VF-92's CO jet, 153827/NG201: http://s362974870.onlinehome.us/foru...post&p=1895655 (yes, it's on ARC - it's the only pic I can link to!)

We know the last name is "Winchester," but we can't make out what comes before that. If anyone has good reference pics of the jet, PLEASE send them our way. It's the last piece of the puzzle on this sheet.

Is there a significant size difference between the two kits in regards to this sheet? I'm planning on going the Hasegawa route.

There's only about a 1mm size difference between the tails, so you should be good, regardless. At worst, you'd be looking at a quick slice with an X-acto knife for a sliver of decal.

Hell, even I don't have a clue when those sheets are being released. I'm just along for the ride.

One thing I do know is, Hazelnuts has 2 of the best VF-111 experts proofing the 111 sheet, and I didn't even have to threaten him with sudden death to ask those guys to help.

Well, we've had a little bit of a snag on them - Jack's been dealing with some health issues over the holidays.

I'm as eager as you are to see these released...

Just curious is there any possibililty one could pre-order a sheet or 4/5...both are of great interest to me....especially VF-92 . The Sundowners also simply for the line birds ....not all that crazy about the CAG birds.

Well, as much as I'd like to go ahead and take your money, I think we've established that preorders are a bad idea at the moment. But don't worry about it too much - I'll have something for you very, very soon.

My Academy F-4B is about 50% finished - will be decorated with VF-92 option #2. Dusting off my OLD Just Plane Stuff carrier deck, removed the old crappy A-7 and patch, renovation for making a pre-mission scene (or at leats my ambition tells me that it will be).
