Default A-10A 81 TFW RAF Bentwaters Woodbridge

Some pigment accents left but finished the Hawg. Another overlooked REV/MON gem on my bucket list completed. Wing King's aircraft 1986 time frame, QuickBoost ACES II seat, Master GAU-8 gun tip, Xtradecal's X48-006, stencils from kit & war weary hog sheet.

WOW!!!! Great job John.

How did you go about closing the wing dive/speed brakes? I tried to
do that on one of my Monogram A-10's and it didn't work out to well.
Still got a couple in the stash that I want to do.

Cheers,

Jerry

Thanks Jerry, I used the usual sanding boards and reduced the thickness of the decelerons until they fit flush without a thick step at the rear. Use some strip plastic in the wing for a stringer support. Work slow so you donít damage the actuating tabs. Pick your line behind the upturned trailing edges and sand away.

John

Really nicely done John. Well painted and with a realistic weapons load. Yours is one of the better ones

Thanks for looking & props!. I need to make a light table and take better photos, the Hawg looks better in person than my pix show. Too many kits not enough time.
