Default Convair F-106A Delta Dart, 1/48 Trumpeter

Trumpeter kit, Aires cockpit, Eduard Falcon missiles, Caracal markings, fündekals stencils.
I highly recommend the stencil set, it really brings the model to life

I don't know what you think you're missing, but to me, this is a above average presentation of this man's work. I find it to be very pleasing to the eye and the attention to detail is remarkable. Bravo Zulu Exterminatus!!

Outfuckingstanding! I have this kit in the stash. Maybe some year I'll actually build another model.

When dad was stationed at K.I. Sawyer in northern Michigan we would watch these take off.

Well Eddie, thanks for chiming in!!! I am extremely happy you like what you see, but from my seat, I see very low resolution pictures and especially the "CALIFORNIA" and U.S. AIR FORCE are very badly represented, you know like a high res shot that was readied for the internet with low dpi then blown up a bit. .
I like what I see, BUT, I'd like to see better resolution PICTURES! That was all I was saying!!!

Andrew, this is a really well built model, thanks for posting! From these shots one of the biggest attractions that a lot of modelers DON'T do is, faring in that windscreen. Yours looks like that was what was done, or it fits that good, and looks fared in. Looks awesome!

Cheers

Hi Larry, I know what you mean, I've posted low-res pictures by mistake. Sorry!!
It is corrected now, maybe you would have to refresh your browser.

Thank you all for the comments!

I was lucky to be stationed at Tyndall AFB in the mid-80's when the F-106 was still there with the Air Defense Weapons Center (along with many passing through there for various reasons). It was really a beautiful jet - and inflight, it truly was easy on the eyes

No insult intended Bud...so you can dispense with all the exclamation points. Next time, I'll just differ to your expert opinion and keep my mouth shut. ..

WOW!!! Simply stunning! And great choice in markings too. Can I ask what paint you used for the ADC Grey?

It's the Mr.Paint no. MRP242. Came out much better, when compared to Gunze C73 (which both should represent the ADC Grey)

Thanks for the comments!
