It's not. Same thing here. Really slow today and then tomorrow it will be
normal. I have waited as much as 45 seconds for a thread to load.

Cheers,

Jerry

Added note. Took over 30 seconds for this reply to load and then over
another 30 seconds just to do this edit. Sheeeesh.

It's acting extremely slow for me today (and no other site has the problem).

It's an issue on the hosts end, not ours.

No, not here. Been running very slow since Friday and still is today. Took over a minute for this
reply to even post.

Cheers,

Jerry

Open up a command line (if you're in Windows, hit that windows key between the left ctrl and alt keys, plus the R key and type in 'cmd' and enter) and then simply type in 'ping www.zone-five.net' and you'll get some stats to paste into this thread.

As of right now, this is what I'm getting (and it seems reasonably fast at the moment):
Pinging zone-five.net [97.74.144.115] with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 97.74.144.115: bytes=32 time=263ms TTL=50
Reply from 97.74.144.115: bytes=32 time=263ms TTL=50
Reply from 97.74.144.115: bytes=32 time=263ms TTL=50
Reply from 97.74.144.115: bytes=32 time=263ms TTL=50

By the way, copying and pasting from a command window is weird. You have to right click in the window, then select Mark and "draw" a box with the mouse, around the text you want. Then right click again and that does the copy.

Hope that helps. And if you're on a Mac, let me know. It's obviously a completely different process that I'll need to look up for you.

As I often do, I hit the New Posts menu item at the top of the page - it took 38 seconds before it loaded (tested with a stop-watch). Also clicking anything else took a similar amount of time (like into this thread).

Pings are normal, though:
