Default AMK MiG-31 Sweeeeet!!!!

Received the AMK MiG-31 from Sprue Brothers yesterday, Wow what a beautifully molded kit. The first batch is sold out but no doubt a restock should be on the way, if you like modern Russian Aviation don't pass on this one, it is a gem of a kit!

I have one on the way. Ordered it a little late, so it's going to be tied up at UPS for a few days.

Got mine today, and I have to say the quality of the molding is truly amazing. It looks like a kit from the future or something. Money well spent!

I just wish I had an interest in that monster. I had a Lindberg 1/48 "toy" version of it years ago, which was so poorly made it was comical, maybe that's what killed it for me. Now a MiG-25 is a whole different animal...

Canopy seals/framing coming in January! They will be printed to FS 31158 (except for the white center panel) unless someone has a better choice.

FS 31638 maybe? FS 31158 is way too red and too dark.

If you want to show the engine details off you can add these to your manual if you like:

Or you can leave off the port / starboard side engine and tail section?

Actually Christmas has put the pause on our discussions but I have an importer in Australia poised to buy these. More on who they are when I can.

Have you guys thought about a L-39, MiG-29, or SU-27 (any variation, but the 35 is my favorite)?

They have; AMK already announced the L-39 release for 2016. With the GWH MiG-29 I don't think there's a need for another new tool Fulcrum but a Flanker family would be cool.

L-39, MiG-25 variants, F-14 Tomcats are all in our schedule for this year.

Everyone,

I just uploaded the updated manuals for the MiG-31BM 88003 kit. The second production run has newer manuals to take into account one feedback we had about swapping some parts over to hide two ejection marks. Parts G11 and G12 are now reversed.

Please download them all to make sure you have the latest manuals. The previous aren’t wrong, these are just improved.

Cheers.
