Default 1/48 F-86D Mongram/Promodeler tractor?

Howdy, motivaters!

Iím buildIng the 1/48 Tamiya F4D-1. I remembered that Iíve had the 1/48 Monogram Promodeler kit thatís roughly 15 years old (Iím not going to finish) that has the vintage tug tractor as a bonus. Can anyone in the know about various tugs advise me if that tug would be appropriate with the 50ís-early 60ís Naval ground support equipment for a small diorama with the Skyray? Thanks!

Going by the pics of the parts tree for the tractor,,,,,,it looks like the same as a few others that have been molded.

That tractor fits the time period for ground use.

Just paint it gray or yellow instead of green, and it should work fine.

Others might know more, of course.

Thanks, Rex. I just wasnít sure if that tractor was specific to the USAF. But was hoping it would be fairly accurate. Either way I guess I canít go too wrong since it should be close enough for that era. Thanks, again!

Alex has a short blurb on the Clark partway down his page here.

I would have linked it sooner, but, I couldn't remember where I had seen it until today.

Not a lot of meat there, but, it does give a timeframe of the usage.
