747 cruising high over Regina. Who it belongs too is anyone's guess.

Nice shots. What's with the new scalloped trailing edges on the engine housings? Better stealth?

Wink

, I used to work at a site in Kurnell across Botany Bay from Sydney KSA. At KSA there is a curfew from 2300 to 0500 with only piston, turboprop or quiet jets (BAE 146 freighters) allowed to operate during those hours. The first arrival each morning was a British Airways 747 which flew over the worksite right on the dot of 0500. When he flew over I'd start my last walk around of the site and get back about 0530 to open the front gates and off duty at 0600. There was a nice little spot on the way home that I used to sometimes go to to watch the movements at the airport. When I get my new computer up and running I'll upload some of my shots from work and from where I used to live at a caravan park at Rockdale. From my caravan to the southern boundary fence of KSA was about a 10 minute walk which I did at some time most days when it wasn't raining.

When the client company (Abbotts Pharmaceuticals) moved to Botany the glide path to the north-south runway approaching from the north was right above the back balcony of the building. You could almost reach out and touch the aircraft as they flew down short finals to the runway. The noise was deafening but I did get some good shots from there.

Regards,
RHB

Red face

, I forgot to mention that there were sometimes some interesting types in the visiting aircraft parking area. I've seen USAF Galaxies, RAF TriStars, a Russian An-124, a Polish Tu-154, a Czech Tu-154, a Russian Il-96, RNZAF B737, a civil Russian An-12, various military C-130s of various countries, a French Transall C160. Unfortunately this area can only be seen from the elevated roadway of the M5 motorway near the airport and you can't stop to take photos.

Regards,
RHB
