Default 1/48 Scale AIM-9G/H Question

Does anyone make 1/48 scale AIM-9G or H's?

Starting to gather all the stuff I need for my next major project and I can't find any 1/48 scale AIM-9G or H's.

Aren't these versions visually identical to the AIM-9D?

I don't know, looked at some pics online but can't tell for sure, hope the G/H are the same as the D, then I'm covered.

Edit: just looked at the engineering drawings I have and it does appear the D has the same outer mold line as the G/H, can anyone confirm this for me please.

Aren't they in the Hasegawa Weapons sets? Or is that the D? I know I've used AIM-9's from Hasegawa weapons sets for AIM-9G's myself

They are not in the Hasegawa weapons sets. However, they are included in the Hasegawa A-7 kits.

Thanks everyone!

I have a Hasegawa A-7E (VA-82 Kit) that I got 25-30 years ago but sadly, the Winders are long gone, don't know where they went. Guess I'll be getting another A-7E.

Eduard makes AIM-9D's! Four in a box
http://www.eduard.com/store/Aircraft...2b05522fb3d763

Not sure if it's any cheaper than a A-7E!

Also there is the Hasegawa weapon set C (X48-3) which also holds 4x AIM-9D.
As well as B/E/J/L's

ZactoModel sells his as "AIM-9D/G/H" so.... I think your good with a D.

According to Wiki the diference between the D and G/H is the Tube (D) and solid state (G/H) design. So all internal.

From what I read online (can't remember where), the canards (forward wings) are different from the D and the G/H, some of the drawings confirm this, so I am not 100% convinced that the G/H is eternally identical to the D.

I went ahead and pulled the trigger on another Hasegawa A-7E, guess I'll have make that one into a VA-174 (from when I went through the RAG before going to VA-82).

D/G/H fins/wings identical; the radar guided C model (and repurposed AGM-122 SideARM) had slightly larger guidance (front) fins.

The G-model featured the Sidewinder Expanded Acquisition Mode (SEAM), which allowed the seeker to be slaved to the aircraft radar. With the later incorporation of the Visual Target Acquisition Set (VTAS), the pilot's helmet could direct him to look where the radar was locked on and slave the missile seeker (within gimbal limits) to where he was looking. As stated above, the H model was a solid state version of the G model.

I think you might have given them to me for a project.

No worries, I got some of the new Eduard AIM-9D/G/H a few weeks ago...............after I had already gotten another Hawegawa A-7E.

I'm currently plugging away on an F-4J (1/48 Hasegawa) for my Dad, after I'm done with that I'll start the Tomcat.
