Default I'm going...

OK, just about a year out from Nats being on the East Coast just down the street in VA. Starting today...anything I build will be to enter into the Nats.

Now I just gotta decide what the hell to build...???

You should do a P-2 Neptune!

Do a P-3. I've never seen anyone do a better one than you do.

Thanks for the compliment!

You can bet a P-3 will be on the list, just a question of what version.

And since it is in the Norfolk area, an E-2C and C-2 as well.

Do a NADC UP-3A 'Droop Snoot', the nose on that would make it standout for sure

You should build an F-4E Thunderbird.

August 6, 2014 thru Saturday August 9.

It's the 50th Anniv of the IPMS USA Convention, so it should be a big one. The folks who run the VA chapter have done a great job in the past putting on the convention.

The location is a good one too I think, especially for someone coming from overseas. If you really wanted to make a family vacation out of it in the meantime, you have lots of other places to visit previous to or after the convention...Williamsburg, Washington D.C. the Outer Banks of North Carolina is not very far.

For military things to see, Langley AFB is right there in Hampton (F-22s/F-15s) and across the water is the Norfolk Navy base a bit futher down the way is Oceana Naval Air Station (F/A-18s of all variants) and also the Military Aviation Museum (WWI and WWII aircraft, including an airworthy Mosquito).

Come on over, should be a good time.

Thank you for the info Andrew. The 50th anniversary of IPMS UK and the world in Telford this year should be a good one too, so next year's US Nationals should be pretty good. In the end it depends on what the wallet says...

It will be kinda cool for Anne and I

Our first Nats was at Va Beach, (we bunked at her Bubblehead's house in Hampton) with Columbus the next year,,,,,,,,now, we can finally go again, and they are in Hampton and Columbus

To be realistic, I know that Nashville is not on anyone's list for the Nats,,,,,and that means that the only place better for us than Va and Ohio is if there were a Nats somewhere between Buffalo and Syracuse NY, so we could visit her kids on the same trip (and even then,,,,,I have been to Buffalo with her 50 times and haven't been to BuffCon once, lol)
