Default SUU-20 pods

I don't know if F-16's still use these but Strike Eagles sure do when back home for basic bombing practice. These SUU-20's are made by Video Aviation in Italy and include six BDU-33's for each set. I ordered two sets in case I want these on my 32 Viper or Strike.

The set looks great, but I noticed the tubes that hold the explosive carts were not included, but unless you've worked around SUU-20's you wouldn't know those were installed.

Now that would definitely make a unique loadout that isn’t seen very often in a scale model. I like it! Any chance they come in 48?

I donít think so. Not from them. Hasegawa has some in their old weapons set. I did SUU-20ís on a Strike I built of my old jet. Standard config for surface attack training rides.

I've got one of all the Hasegawa weapon sets so I'll take a gander at it when I have a chance to dig for it. Kinda bummer as that set by these guys looks fantastic. Probably be perfect for doing a Strike Eagle in the euro 1 colors.

Default 1/48 SUU-21

....are available in the excellent DACO F-104 Starfighter Improvement kit. It includes parts for both the closed and open door configuration and parts for BDU-33 and BDU-48 practice bombs. Also parts for the shorter version used on the F-111 and the blunt nosed Canadian MN1A version. Very nice injection molding.

This kit includes lots of other stores applicable to the starfighter era: rocket pods, missiles, other types of practice bomb dispensers, target tow pods, four types of nuclear bombs, and photo pods. A great kit to have in your stash even if you are not interested in F-104's!
