Default NASA visit Oct.16

Evening Gents... I've been visiting NASA on a regular basis since around 1977 and I've always enjoyed what they have to offer. This year was special. This is the first time I got to see the Space Shuttle mock up Independence loaded piggyback on the carrier 747. A very impressive display to a space program geek like me. I had some heartburn about not getting a flying shuttle, but after being able to tour the mock up, I was impressed...Here are a few pix I shot along with some other items at NASA...

I think I'm going to need to make a trip up to Houston soon to check that out. Really cool pics!

Knowing how big Texas is, I'd say that the trip to NASA is worth it for the tour of the main building ( including the 747 Shuttle stack) and the tram tour that will get you to the covered Saturn V complex along with all that is included along the way. I took all of these pix with my iPhone 4S, so any pix taken with a "real" camera " will be killer!

The trip is worth the money and time for any space nerd..

I haven't been to Johnson in years...maybe I've got another reason now. They used to make a really good chicken fried steak in the commissary...
