Mark Battaglia from New Market, Maryland. I like the 1/48th and larger scales because the others are WAY too small for me to see, but I do enjoy seeing other people's work. It's amazing to me what some of ya'll can do!!

Thomas Doane

I'm a Systems Analyst for the print industry and I love to build mostly 50's to modern Naval Aviation subjects, but I stray to cold war air force and modern foreign subjects from time to time.

I'm Chris Paulson…

Born and raised in California (Saratoga, San Diego Sate, LA) but now Iowa has been my home for the last 12 years. What can I say, you were born were you were born and you die were your wife was born.

Aerospace Engineer by schooling, I spent some time with Northrop Grumman as a stress engineer on the B-2 Bomber & F/A-18 A,B,C,C,E,F programs. I now work for a software company with a division here in Iowa as an Aerospace Solutions Specialist (and what do those initials spell boys & girls?)

Been building models off and on since I was a kid, my current interests are the research side and 1/48 scale. The subjects I keep coming back to are the F-86 Sabre, and USMC aviation from the early 50’s, 80’s to the present day. I’ve also been dabbling in USA & USMC 1/35th scale armor and in the past few years have complete more “targets” than aircraft.

However, now, thanks to a little known decal manufacture with a gift for hype I’m pretty geeked (and educated) about the F-16 and plan to build a few in the future. I never thought that would be possible.

Howdy all,

Iím Bruce Blackwelder from Richlands, North Carolina. Built my first model at age 6 in 1960. I consider my modeling skills as average, at best. None of my work would place in contests, but Iím having fun with the hobby.

Former USNR AW1 acoustic operator aboard P-3A/B/C Orions. Also operated radar for WX avoidance. (Surprisingly, Iíve built only one P-3 to date, the LS 1/144 kit.)

Itís good to have another forum to check daily. Thanks for getting the ball rolling, Dave!

Bruce

HI... Will Self...Native Texan, been modeling since I was 12 years old. Grew up 20 miles from Dyess AFB. So I have a tendency toward USAF subjects but will build almost anything from WWII to right this minute...even build a few armor subjects and some Sci-Fi stuff from time to time. My family has been in the Oil and Gas Industry all of my life and after teaching Agricultural Sciences at the high school level for ten years I went back to the patch. I'm currently a Service Supervisor-Cement for BJ Services in Eldorado, Texas, and no I'm not a polygamous mormon!!!! LOL

THis is a plasti-holics-annon meeting! My name is ..... and I .........

Well, I don't hide behind a screen name. Drew is it and H is my last initial. It wouldn't take much for someone to figure out the rest.

I build 1/48 WWII pacific theater (mostly naval), huge Corsair fan and venture into N.Africa with my builds. I have some modern and early jets, but not as many. As for what I do, I manage a glass shop. All types of glass that has to do with the marine industry. Before this, I was a CF pilot and instructor. Being Canadian - gives me a hole new respect for the word COLD

Any drama is of your own making here....you are pretty much in charge of your own experience, what you want out of it, and what others take from you. We all expect there to be tiffs, rows and the occasional flame, but the "drama" comes from the assembled mob making such a HUUUUGE deal out of any sort of "disharmony" or anything not perfectly in lock-step with the masses. Humans are designed as individuals and most rail against enforced, sterile "harmony". This place is about models, model geeks and I'm thinking beer.....not control. Its awesome to have you bud!

Hey Gang,
I'm Mark Barnes, a former US Marine. I live on the Central Coast of California near Santa Cruz with my wife and two sons, ages five and seven months. I am the owner of Barnes Photographics an imaging and graphic design business specializing in aerial photography. I also do a bit of corporate flying on the side. Growing up a Navy brat and spending most of my youth on one Navy or Marine airbase after another has left me with a great passion for naval aviation and its history. But, when the surf is up I play hookie from everything else and hit the waves. Well, at least as long as SWMBO doesn't notice my surfboard sticking out of the back of my truck when she thinks I'm going to work. My policy has always been "It's always better to ask for forgiveness, than to ask for permission" Especially when it comes to surfing.

Thanks to those responsible for setting up this forum and providing us with an alternative venue to share our passion of aviation and modeling with like minded individuals.

Mark

Scott-

I was trying to post my F-14 ref article and it says there's a limit to only posting 4 pics.

Anyway to increase that?

I have 10 images in my F-14B article alone.
