I was quite bummed I couldn't make it. Yes, will be at Omaha next year. I had way too much on my plate since January; TDY a lot in support of that KC-46 Tanker and other obligations.

Also, many changes coming for SHM soon, as I am now quite busy with that.

Mike

Default F-16 Walkways.

Hi all,

I'v been searching the net for a simple question which proves difficult to find the answer to.

What is the color and width of the walkways on a standard three tone US camouflaged F-16.

I'm geussing FS36375. But how wide are they?

I want to airbrush then on a model in 1/48 scale.

Thanks.

Dingwall.

The T.O. states 'GRAY 36231' in -inch lines with 3/4-inch size letters.

Default Battery

Anyone know if the Block 50 battery in the main landing gear bay is being switched over to the integrated framed version found on the bottom of pg. 52/53 of Jake's Modern Viper Guide? I misread the caption and went ahead and scratchbuilt the integrated version using the Tamiya kit provided one. Now I'm debating if I need to convert back to the older version.

For those that don't know, the door retracts downward and becomes the slipway for the boom nozzle thus gets scraped.

That is the lower RWR antenna plate/base. It's directly left of the tail hook hoof.

That's the BDU one from Alaska correct? The one that I keep hearing TB got the colors wrong on their recent sheet?

Side note: Does anyone have any experience with the KASL Hobby's line of F-16 tails in 1/48?

Speaking of colors, I see a red "dot" near each wingtip, two white dots on the port wing, and a gray dot near the refueling door (not the GPS dome). Any idea what those are?

Not only did TB pooch the brown color on the decals, they were out of register! I won't but TB decals again because of the response I got from Bob and not willing to fix them or refund my money. Horrible customer service and response.

Not sure what the gray dots are, but the red near the wing tips are "Red Stars" to represent the aggressors markings.
