Default Get your rooms

If you're planning on going/staying at Disney World for the Nats this year, you might want to look into reserving your rooms. Just got mine tonight and the reserved rooms at the Contemporary Resort were already sold out. They've opened up some more allotted rooms in the Polynesian Resort but who knows how long it will be till they sell out as well.

Well, I must admit I was a little bummed to not get into the Contemporary Resort where the convention will be held, but then I did a little research. So normal rate for the CR is $320/night give or take. The group price is $129/night. The PR is normally $415/night and I'm getting it for the same rate of $129/night. Guess it paid to procrastinate. And the monorail will take me to the convention everyday. Not bad if I say so myself.

Sean,
Have no fear, I'll be there with you and Mike from marketing, so at least you won't be alone on the 30 sec monorail trip....

Got my room at the Contemporary last September and they were telling me they were about to sell out at that point.

I have a question. I booked my room already (wife's a Disney freak so I had to go to this one!) My question is, if you're not actually entering a model and just going to look, learn and shop do you have to register for the contest or do you just pay an entrance price when you get there? I've never been to a National so I don't know how these things work.

Just pay an entrance fee at the door.

I lucked out, as I'll be staying at Hotel Mom. Its one of those unwritten law that New Yorkers have to retire to Florida, and my mom didn't want to break the law....

I'll be there Thursday.

OK were 6 weeks out. Anyone else from this ragtag crew goin? We all know the AB/FB guys with thier "Marketing peeps" will be there but who else? Is Jake bringing any books? Maybe NEW books to surprise us with LOL.
I just looked at my updated Vendor room list of wants and nearly had to call 911 for a sudden sharp pain I had in my Head/chest/and gut. I think I was having a Stroke/Heart attack and a AAA all at once :-( Why does all of our goodness have to be soooo pricey?

Jim

PS The super bug will be there, All I ahve left is flatting the canopy rails and a final flat touch up on some tiny shiny spots on the airframe. I'll post pic's as soon as it's complete.

I booked my room in the Poly about a month ago. Now I may have a chance to switch out for the Contemp Res from somebody who has changed their mind. Might do it depending if SWMBO comes down with me. Just have to find pet sitters for two houses.
