Default Scratch building seatbelts

I am trying to make some seat belts for a kit I am building, and I am wondering what the scratch builders use (like in Black Box, Ultrcast stuff). Lead foil, epoxy putty?

Cheers,
-Doug

Hi! Doug, would say that the lead foil is the most suitable material, for me personally is definitely the best. Hope that help. Regards, Marco.

Thanks Marco,
That is what I thought. What do you use to make the buckles? Do you just scratch them, or use PE?

Cheers,
-Doug

Hi Doug,
the use of photoetched for the buckles is the best solution, in addition to be the fastest, but is also especially the most realistic. Cheers, Marco.

Thanks Marco,
I will see if I can find some PE sets for just buckles. I don't think Eduard does any, so if you have any links I would greatly appreciate it.

Cheers,
-Doug

I'm sorry but I dont have link for you, we hope that others members more competent than me read this thread so that they can help you better. However, I've done a quick search on the net to the voice "eduard seat buckles then I clicked on google images, and saw that there is something for modern and WWII aircraft. Maybe you can find what you need. I'm sorry but for me it's very difficult to exspress myself in english. Just for curiosity let me know if research from its fruits I hope to be clear, cheers. Marco

Waldron, I see. I have searched and searched but came up zero for 1/48 buckles. Anybody have a link, or are these OOP?

Cheers,
-Doug
