Default Researching Blackbird Ground Equipment

Does anyone know about this piece of air handling equipment used with the Blackbirds? A model number, drawings, its function, and any other information would be greatly appreciated.

It's on casters. It might have something to do with regulating air pressure fed into the jet on the ground. A large hose from what I presume is an air conditioning unit goes in one end, and a smaller one exits the unit and is connected to the air receptacle in the nose gear well.

Here us the only close up picture Iíve ever found.

Here's another shot from BodÝ, Norway, showing the air hose connected to the nose gear well.

Here is an early picture showing what looks like a jury-rigged reducer from a large hose on the ground, coming from the right of the frame, to a smaller hose leading up to the nose gear well. The reducer is just behind the man in the light colored jacket with the apparent Mohawk haircut.

And once again here is the unit as part of a chain of equipment in the foreground.

I'm sorry some of these images are so small, but they are all I have been able to find after searching off and on for several years.

I'm hoping to incorporate this unit into a diorama, if I can ever solve this minor trivia question.

Regards,
Bruce

Thank you, Chris.

Do you know of an equipment number or a source for dimensions or drawings?

Bruce
