Default The Great Tigermoth Air Race.

G'day All,

The Great Tigermoth Air Race was held here a couple of weeks ago. A rare chance to see 38 examples of DeHaviland's finest in one place.

Some of my shots from the event.

Cheers,
Motty.

Thumbs up

, Nice ones Motty, especially that Tiger Moth in the early morning mist. That's almost surreal. And Paul in his Wolf Pitts. He took me up in his Tiger a couple of weeks ago and coming in to Maitland we were about 1,000ft over the fence to runway 05. I'm thinking he's going to have do something rather radical here or power on and go around. And sure enough he did. Something radical that is. The most radical sideslip I've ever experienced.

I lost my RNAC go faster during that sideslip. It was torn right out from underneath my headset but it was great to get about 10 minutes stick time again in a Tiger. Nothing radical, nothing more than steep turns although Paul did do some loops and rolls and rolls off the top and then into wing overs a couple of times.

Regards,
RHB
