Default Fall update...some exciting news

It's been a couple months since I've updated what's going on. The start of school has taken up most of my time. I'm currently casting to fill the OOS items at Sprue Brothers. I was picking up a vinyl order today and was chatting with the guy who cuts my product. During the conversation, he showed me a new material he just got in that is made for masking. That's when the idea came to fruition for a new line. In the next couple of months, I'll be working with him to come out with vinyl masks for a number of items. Some ideas are letters and numbers of various sizes for both US Navy and Air Force, USAF for the wings of NMF (possibly even national insignias as well), de-icing boots for a variety of aircraft, and carrier deck numbers. If you have any other ideas, feel free to pass them on. The masking vinyl is almost like Tamiya tape! It's very thin. I've tested it on acrylic paint, and had no problems with peeling paint. I can also do designs and put transfer tape over it. You pull off the backing, apply the vinyl to the model, then pull off the transfer tape. This is some great stuff! Look for more information at a later date.

Some new stuff coming in the next couple of weeks:
-- 1/48 intake covers (most kinds) in Light Gray
-- F-14, F-18A-D, and F-18E/F/G colored nav lights (separate sets for each plane)
-- straps (variety of colors - also great for making cargo nets)

As always, thanks for your business. It is appreciated!
Darren

Sounds exciting Darren! I'd love to be able to make off paint NAVY and MARINES on jets amongst otherthings. National insignias would be excellent as well as tail numbers especially in 32nd scale.

if you do masks for 1/72 tail code letters, and/or nose modexes, either straight or slanted,,,,,I'd buy three sets of any combos you release,,,,just to boost sales for 1/72

letter and number masks in 1/72 would be a handy deal for me, lots of projects don't fall into the "famous markings, just buy the decal sheet" area

Hmmm.... that would make make adversary/ 3-tone camo/ TPS schemes a lot easier to paint instead of complex masking and matching decals to shades of paint. Think of where a marking crosses from one color to another and the color gets reversed at that point.

Hey Darren, are you planning to do the 1:48 F-14 Tomcat TF-30 FOD Covered Nozzles (REV/ACA kit) again? They're out of stock at SprueBros.
