Default Montana Air Guard F-106 "Six Shooter"

Hi Everyone,
This is the Trumpeter 1/48 scale F-106 with a ton of aftermarket. Pit, wheel wells, nozzle, wheels, intakes and the list goes on. Fun build, but I thought I lost the entire project when the nose cone, that I filled with some extra resin as a nose weight. started to crack even after I repaired it several times. Long story short, I was able to make a resin copy of the nose cone and finally finished the Six Shooter! Hope you like it.

Thanks for looking

Look great! The 106 is the best looking aircraft in my opinion.

Beautiful!

Ah, those Delta Dart and Dagger nosecones. I once had a Monogram F-102 nosecone melt on me. I had also added a bit of weight and the putty I fixed it with was hotter stuff than I expected.

Cheers, Stefan.

How did you do the panel lines? I struggle a bit trying to replicate realistic panel lines on gloss finishes.

Yours are very well done.

Thanks RJ,
I use oil paint wash on all of my builds. I've tried Flory wash and couldn't get a consistent result, so I've always come back to what has worked and for me and that's oil paint! It's more of a mess, but it just works every time! Hope that helps, if you need anything else, just give me a shout!
