Iíve started by making the first squadron of A-7E Corsairs and boy oh boy was I in for a shock. I donít think it helped shifting from 1/32 scale down to 1/700, but even in this minute size each plane has five parts. To make matters even more complex the wings are produced in the fully extended position and not folded. So each plane had to have its outer wing section cut off then re-attached in the space saving folded position. Having looked at all of the Trumpeter aircraft sets Ė only the F-14A Tomcats have the option to build the wings ready for take-off or swept for storage.

There are drop tanks which will be attached after the aircraft has been painted and decaled. Extra pylons have also been made from very small bits of strip styrene.
