That's not a boarding ladder, that's a flight test box and those are FTE's. If it's painted orange it's either test equipment or training equipment, not boarding ladders.

I'm pretty sure (99.9%) it had a boarding ladder in the LEX.

I'm pretty sure the Navy didn't want to go through with what they went through with the A-4 and RA/A-5, having to lug boarding ladders...

The ridges and grooves are from the 3D printing process so you will need to sand the it smooth. The one's I have do have ridges/grooves, though not as bad as your's appears to be.

R15 are the late style sway brace pad while R16 is the early style.

R15 would be used if you wanted to make an IMER (Improved Multi-Ejector Rack/BRU-41) for aircraft like the F-18 and late A-6E's....
